Trends for the New Year!

We couldn’t be more excited for 2012; new brides (congrats!), new colors, and new trends! As for the trends, we’ve kept some things the same since 2011, thanks to Kate Middleton’s beautiful gown, we’ve added a different style of dress to the hundreds of others that will be popular this year. Kate’s dress was beautiful, lacey, and reminds brides that it’s okay to wear sleeves. We’re also going vintage. What better way to create a unique wedding and have a beautiful setup then to visit all the thrift shops and antique stores around? Brides can find everything old and beautiful to turn their day into something new and breathtaking. Old vases, chairs, and picture frames could be just the perfect touch for their special day. These decorations will fit perfectly with what The Knot is expecting to be the new go to venue – old barns! It’s no longer necessary to invite the whole neighborhood when you can have just as much fun with your closest family and friends and have an even more elaborate affair. My favorite trend that we’ll be seeing is mixing and matching. Finally bridesmaids won’t be stuck in the same dress – they’ll actually get to show off their style as well! (without outshining the bride of course!) different dresses, shoes, we’ll see it all! Theknot.com has shared a great new way to do save-the-dates online, with short videos documenting the couples love story! This is so fun and creative :) But if you want to send a traditional save the date, another option is to incorporate this love story video on your wedding site! We can’t wait to see what else is in store for 2012, and meet our beautiful new brides!!
